Humanity is at the core of its mission, and walking that path steadily is one of Bangladesh’s leading humanitarian organizations, MASTUL Foundation. Established in 2012 with the aim of supporting street children, MASTUL Foundation began by providing food, education, and safe shelter for helpless children sleeping on the streets of Dhaka. From this modest beginning, MASTUL Foundation has now expanded its reach nationwide and internationally.

Within Bangladesh, MASTUL Foundation carries out a wide range of humanitarian activities. Among the most notable are orphanages and shelter centers, where hundreds of orphaned children and underprivileged elderly people live together. They receive three meals daily, medical care, education, and a secure living environment. In addition, through the “40 Taka Food Program,” the organization provides nutritious meals every day to hundreds of laborers and impoverished people.
For orphaned children and guardianless elderly, MASTUL Foundation is constructing the MASTUL Islamic Shelter Home, a 10-story building equipped with all basic facilities. Here, children will receive modern education, religious instruction, and skill development training. Elderly residents will have access to safe shelter, regular healthcare, and attentive services. This will be an ongoing Sadaqah Jariyah (continuous charity) project, including a mosque, school, library, hospital, and skill development center. MASTUL Foundation believes that this shelter home will one day become an unparalleled example of humanitarian work.
During natural disasters, MASTUL Foundation has always been at the forefront. Whether it is devastating floods or cyclones, the organization has provided relief and rehabilitation services, including food, clean water, medicine, and even housing support. Their contributions to education are equally significant, providing opportunities for poor children through schools and madrasas, while skill development programs open doors for youth employment.
MASTUL Foundation’s healthcare initiatives are noteworthy as well. The organization regularly organizes medical camps and provides emergency health assistance. Ambulance services, oxygen supply, and funeral support are additional programs that make a tangible difference in the community.
Beyond Bangladesh, MASTUL Foundation’s humanitarian efforts extend internationally. After the devastating earthquake in Turkey, MASTUL Foundation sent relief assistance, earning global recognition. Another major international effort is ongoing support in Gaza, where the organization continuously provides food, clean water, and medical aid amidst the crisis.
The founder and Executive Director of MASTUL Foundation states:
“In 2012, we started with the goal of supporting street children. Providing food, education, and safe shelter for helpless children sleeping on the streets of Dhaka was our first initiative. From this small beginning, MASTUL Foundation has now expanded nationwide and internationally.”
According to the National Board of Revenue (NBR), any zakat, donation, or sadaqah given to MASTUL Foundation is tax-exempt. Donations made to the organization are fully recognized as tax benefits for donors.
In summary, MASTUL Foundation is now an integrated humanitarian institution, working tirelessly both within Bangladesh and abroad. Maintaining this continuity, the organization is expected to contribute on an even larger scale to human welfare in the future.
