Free Ambulance Service in Covid-19 Corona Pandemic- 2020 to 2021

OVERVIEW

The MASTUL Foundation provides free ambulance services to underprivileged people. If a family member has lost a loved one and cannot afford the ambulance or funeral expenses, we will transport the body and hold the funeral free of charge.

This project started as a measure to help the families of deceased Corona victims. Our brave volunteers risked their lives to carry, bury, and hold funerals for infectious corpses. The MASTUL Foundation was dedicated to answering emergency calls and helping when needed. That’s why we created a free ambulance service for underprivileged people. With thousands of volunteers in almost every corner of Bangladesh, operations were being performed across the country to help the families of the sick and the deceased.

Story of Beneficiaries:

It was mid-2020 when the Covid-19 pandemic was in high condition and lock-down was going on. Rahima was 8 months and 18 days pregnant and from a low-earning family. Her husband was a driver and could not afford any private hospital or ambulance. She got her labor pain all of a sudden and her husband became helpless as there was no permission of riding private or local vehicles due to lock-down. Then, a neighbor of theirs got help from child sponsorship for her children and knew of MASTUL’s Free Ambulance Service. He called to MASTUL Foundation for the ambulance service. MASTUL immediately sent that ambulance to the location and it took Rahima to the hospital. After 1hour of their arrival, Rahima gave birth to a baby safely. Rahima’s husband informed her and her family about the humanitarian activity of providing ambulances by MASTUL which could help them at that crucial time. Hearing this Rahima cried out with joy in that physical condition at the hospital cabin and gave blessings and good luck to MASTUL. Rahima along with her family are very ever grateful to MASTUL Foundation.
