“Initiative Aims to Boost Inclusive Entrepreneurship and Economic Development”
MASTUL Foundation has taken a proactive initiative to empower 11 special needs people at Satarkul, Dhaka by providing financial assistance to establish small businesses. All of the individuals got different types of business startup support and ideas from MASTUL based on their circumstances and capabilities.
The matter of plight is that most of these beneficiaries are unable to move either from birth or because of tragic accidents. The initial plan was to assist them by establishing a floating stall beside the road. Even one young boy got a special type of rickshaw to sell his goods along with a flexible movement facility. The devoted volunteers of MASTUL decorated this modest rickshaw full of toys and several home utensils.
The rest of the beneficiaries are also suffering from several physical barriers. In spite of these obstacles, they were keen to be self-empowered instead of being a burden to others. They also got cash and logistic support to start their journey to self-reliance.
For this overall generous endeavour, MASTUL got an unwavering level of collaboration from Ms Uzzola who works for the people with special needs in that particular region. “This is not the first time, me and my team are working with the MASTUL Foundation. The steps MASTUL has taken for people with special needs are highly appreciable. “ She also thanked Mr. Kazi Reaz Rahman, the Founder and Executive Director of MASTUL Foundation for his eagerness to make a positive change in society.
It is noteworthy that the MASTUL Foundation is on a mission to empower marginalized people with the vow to eradicate poverty from society. Even people with special needs are on the priority list to make an up-to-mark positive impact in their lives.
