Widow Mollika Begum got a deep Tubewell from MASTUL Foundation

Rangpur is one of the top arsenic-contaminated regions in Bangladesh. Getting drinkable water becomes very difficult day by day in this area. Like others, the widow Mollika Begum was also a victim of this perspective.

 There was a pond that is almost three kilometres away from her house.  Mollica Begum walked this long distance every day for water. But pond water is also not a safe option. Moreover, It can cause several waterborne diseases. 

Her neighbours were also the same sufferer. 

At that time MASTUL Foundation took an initiative. They planned to set up a deep tubewell in the yard of Mollika Begum. And within a week they complete the project. 

Now, Mollika Begum does not need to go to the pond. She does not need to take contaminated water. She and her neighbours are getting fresh water from this deep tubewell.
